Leading global logistics and customs brokerage provider, CCL, state that 2026 will be a year of continued acceleration for businesses exporting and importing goods overseas.
CCL have expressed confidence in the resilience of global trade in the face of market uncertainties, emphasising that businesses can maintain steady growth by strengthening supply chains and streamlining logistics operations.
“Cross-border trade has encountered roadblocks over the past few years and its continued growth throughout demonstrates the resilience of global businesses. We believe that 2026 –despite many trade complexities still being present – will be a year of continued growth as businesses adapt towards stronger supply chains and smarter logistics” says Stuart Campey, CEO at CCL.
According to the Allianz Trade’s Economic Outlook Report for 2026, global trade growth is forecast to grow by 0.6%in 2026.
The modest growth forecast is primarily due to ongoing trade disputes and tariff uncertainties in the US that continue to impact supply chain stability and market confidence.
In response to these predictions, CCL have commented that companies can still thrive in this environment by sourcing goods from a wider network of diverse and dependable suppliers.
CCL have also expressed the importance of implementing better logistics strategies that can improve efficiency, streamline transport routes, reduce costs and meet the modern delivery expectations of customers.
“In today’s fast-moving global trade environment, the businesses that succeed are those that invest in stronger, more resilient supply chains and adopt smarter logistics strategies. By doing so, they not only navigate complexities and stay ahead of the competition, but also reduce costs and ensure goods reach their destinations efficiently and reliably to satisfy customer demand” adds Stuart.
Since 1999, CCL have provided a comprehensive solution for eCommerce retailers and delivery providers seeking to simplify and expedite their shipments into and out of the UK and Eurozone.
With integrated services, global connections and a strategically located ETSF (External Temporary Storage Facility), CCL can provide bespoke logistics solutions for cross-border eCommerce goods entering Europe via air, sea, road and rail.
“Our mission has always been to remove friction from cross-border trade.
