CCL highlight Latin America trade opportunities following Expocomer Panama 2026
Leading global logistics and customs brokerage provider, CCL, recently attended Expocomer Panama 2026, gaining first-hand insights into Latin America trading opportunities through the Panama Canal.
Held on 10th – 12th March 2026 at the Panama Convention Centre Amador, Expocomer is a multi-exhibition trade fair bringing together global business leaders and international buyers from various sectors with the aim of promoting trade, investment and strategic alliances between countries.
As an attendee to the event and experienced provider of international logistics solutions, CCL found the event wasn’t just important for exploring new partnerships, but also for trade route opportunities within Latin America.

With visitors and exhibitors coming from over 30 countries, the event highlighted the continued relevance of the Panama Canal as a key global shipping route.
The Panama Canal - and more specifically the Colón Free Zone - remains one of the world’s most strategically important logistics hubs, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
The canal is used to transport hundreds of millions of tonnes of goods - more than 210 million tonnes annually - including containers, energy, grains and raw materials.

Every year, around 13,000 to 14,000 ships pass through these waterways, averaging nearly 34 ships a day, making it one of the busiest maritime corridors on the planet. By attending events like Expocomer, we aim to strengthen our presence in the Latin American market and leverage key Panama Canal trade routes, not only by building new partnerships but also by expanding our service capabilities to support increasing global trade volumes” adds Stuart.
